1. My leather coat has wrinkles from being in a box. Is it safe to iron it?

Wrinkles should hang out. If ironing is desired, set iron on ‘Rayon’ setting, use heavy brown wrapping paper as a pressing cloth, and move quickly to prevent overheating and do not use steam.

 

2. How much will it cost to clean my leather item?

Each leather item is a little different. The exact cost of cleaning and refinishing can be determined after a careful inspection of your item. Most leather items fall within the range of $20 to $50. Fur prices range from $70 to $100. Please contact us if you would like an estimate prior to shipping your item.

 

3. How long will it take to get my cleaned item back?

Processing time at our facility is one week for leather and two weeks for fur. However, you should allow an additional week for shipping to and from our facility.

 

4. Is suede a type of leather?

Yes. Suede undergoes a different finishing process than smooth leather, but it is made from the same skin.

 

5. My leather coat is fading. Can you replenish the original color?

Yes we can. Simply indicate on our order form that you would like your item re‐colored. We re-color garments and handbags that are brown, tan, and black. Please call on all other colors first so we can discuss your items color.

 

6. Can you make alterations or repairs?

Absolutely. Our skilled technicians can perform all types of repairs and alterations from zipper replacements to complete relining of your jacket. Rips and tears can also be successfully repaired.

 

7. Can you apply water repellant to my suede and leather items?

 

Yes we can. In fact all suede items are waterproofed as part of the cleaning process at no additional charge.

 

8. Can you fix my purse strap?

Yes we can. We fix clean and service all aspects of your leather or fabric handbag. Straps, linings, zippers and hardware are no problem.
